What do I need for my first weight loss initial visit?
We do not do virtual visits for first-time or new patients (for any reason). We prefer not to do virtual visits for weight loss unless special circumstances and some requirements are needed, determined by the treating provider, such as if patients moving away, have a reliable body composition scale at home, have devices to check vital signs at home such as blood pressure cuffs, thermometer, pulse oximetry, being compliance with diet, exercise and continue to show weight loss progress.
We offer a free 15 min consultation for cosmetic or laser patients for now.
We would call or text patients back to discuss any questions not found on the website within 24 hrs of business days
We do not prescribe Phentermine to everyone who sees us for weight loss. There are strict requirements and criteria patients must meet per FDA guidelines and our clinic protocol. We do not prescribe Phentermine over the phone or online. The patient must be cleared by our treating provider after the initial visit and full examination.
We require normal lab work and normal EKG from the patient’s primary care provider within the last 6 months, or we will order the required labs and EKG for patients on the first visit. We also require normal vital signs, especially blood pressure and heart rate at every visit to prescribe Phentermine. Patients must be free from certain medical conditions such as heart diseases, uncontrolled high blood pressure, untreated low thyroid diseases, untreated sleep apnea, untreated polycystic ovarian syndrome, untreated diabetes, and a history of drugs, controlled prescriptions, or other substances abuse before they can be prescribed Phentermine. We also require patients to be compliant with our recommendations for food intake and exercise regimen discussed in the clinic to either be on phentermine or in our weight loss program, as this would determine the safety as well as the success of patients’ weight loss goals.
